Program
Early departure from Cusco (3:00 AM): We pick you up at Plazoleta Regocijo for a ~5 hour drive through stunning Andean highlands as dawn breaks.
Arrival at Phinaya & Hike to Quelccaya Glacier (8:00 AM): Andean breakfast in Phinaya, then hike toward the glacier foothills surrounded by Vilcanota flora and fauna.
Lunch & Lake Sibinacocha (12:00 PM): Return to Phinaya for a typical lunch, then visit the stunning turquoise Lake Sibinacocha.
Return to Cusco (9:00 PM): We conclude this unforgettable adventure with an estimated arrival around 9:00 p.m.

It is a full-day hike of moderate to demanding difficulty due to the distance and altitude. Good physical condition and acclimatization are recommended.
We recommend arriving in Cusco 1 or 2 days early to acclimatize, staying hydrated, eating light and avoiding alcohol the day before. Coca tea helps and, if you are sensitive, you can bring altitude-sickness pills ("Soroche Pills"), available at any pharmacy.
Warm, layered clothing, a waterproof jacket, trekking shoes or boots, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (50+ SPF), water, energy snacks, your original ID and cash in soles for entrance fees and tips.
The dry season (April to October) offers sunny days and the best trails. November to March is rainier, but the scenery is greener and there are fewer visitors.
